Basic terms and terminology used in OOONA Manager

Order |
1 episode/1 Full feature/1 Trailer etc. Normally, a separate order will be created for each media file to be able to monitor the order’s progress separately. For example, 10 orders will be created for a 10 episode series |
Task | What needs to be done to deliver the final product to the customer. For example, Translation task, Proofreading task, QC task, Media received from client task, etc. Resources are assigned to tasks |
Product | A deliverable. What you deliver to your client. What your client is paying you to do. Examples of products: full translation, translation from a master template file, conform, etc. Products are compiled of tasks |

Workflow template | A tool to easily create orders. The workflow template you select when creating the order will determine which steps, products, and tasks, will be added to the order once it is created |
Resource | A user that is assigned to a task. Can be a person or company (vendor), payroll, or freelancer. It’s the person in charge of completing the task |
Order supply date | The Order’s delivery date. The date on which your customer requested you to send the final files |
Order Internal supply date | Your internal delivery date. The date on which the project manager internally decides to have the final file ready and sent to the customer. The order internal supply date can be the same or prior to the order’s supply date |
Task supply date | The task’s delivery date. The task must be completed by the resource by that date |
Customer | Your customer. The person/company that ordered the job and will be paying for it |
Price | Your income from the job. What your customer will be paying you for delivering the products |
Rate | What you will be paying the resource for completing the task he is assigned to |
