Overview
The Document Preview feature allows you to open a document (e.g., a dialogue list or script) from your client and view it in its final formatted form, right next to your subtitle list.
The Document Preview is read-only and you will not be able to edit it. It is meant to help you have all the documents you need in just one place, without having to worry about external software.
Accessing the Document Preview
To access the Document Preview feature in the standalone version of the OOONA Toolkit, without having access to the OOONA Manager, you will first need to open or create a project.
Next, click Toggle Document Preview under the View menu.
The preview will appear in your workspace.
Click Select a document for preview to choose the desired document.
Viewing the Document
The document will load on the right-hand side of your interface, next to the video preview, by default.
However, you can adjust its position by changing your layout (refer to the Configuring the layout guide) or you can use the pop-out feature to view the document in its own window or in a second screen, freeing up space in your main workspace.
Document Preview integrated with OOONA Manager
In integrated systems, the Document preview feature can be set up to open a script directly from the order created in the OOONA Manager.
This way, the scripts will never leave the OOONA Manager's secure environment, as the resource who opens the task from the order in question will not be able to download the file from the Document preview panel.
To set it up in the OOONA Manager, you will need to go to Administrator > Web administrator and then click the Toolkit option under Configuration.
When the Toolkit configuration page opens, go to the "Default file types for import into Toolkit and export out of Toolkit" section and select the file type you wish the system to open directly in the Document preview panel when a task from an order is opened.
After everything is set, the next time you have an order with the file type selected here, that file will open directly in the Document preview panel when the resource opens the corresponding task in the OOONA Toolkit.
